The Maryam Parman Foundation for Children is proud to announce that it has been awarded a $1,000 grant from the Tustin Community Foundation (TCF) to support children with disabilities living in the Tustin community.
This grant will directly benefit MPFC’s Therapy for Kids program, which provides customized therapeutic support to children affected by catastrophic injury, illness, or developmental disabilities. Funds from TCF will help ensure that Tustin families can access essential and “joyful” therapies that are often not covered by insurance.
Supporting The Tustin Community
In Tustin and across Orange County, many families face significant barriers to obtaining adequate healthcare for children with special needs. According to local data, a notable percentage of children require specialized care, yet even insured families often encounter coverage caps or exclusions for vital therapies. MPFC exists to help bridge this gap by funding individualized therapy plans designed to help children reach their personal developmental goals.
Through this grant, MPFC will be able to support Tustin-resident children currently enrolled in the Therapy for Kids program, including children receiving intensive physical, occupational, speech, and alternative therapies such as hippotherapy. These therapies play a critical role in improving mobility, communication, independence, and overall quality of life.
Thankful For TCF
“We are incredibly grateful to the Tustin Community Foundation for investing in children with disabilities in our local community,” said MPFC’s Executive Director, Taylor Smith. “This support allows us to continue providing life-changing therapies to families who might otherwise go without.”
The Maryam Parman Foundation for Children remains deeply committed to serving low-income families in Tustin and surrounding communities by providing access to therapies, medical devices, and home modifications that help children thrive.
