Caroline is an adorable 2-year-old girl who acquired meningitis in NICU and bilateral grade 2 and 3 bleeds which led to hydrocephalus and cerebral palsy. Due to this birth injury, she experiences global delays. She is currently in swim therapy and hippotherapy to help her progress. Her family recently did an intensive therapy session at NAPA Center and had to pay out of pocket for the treatments and their hotel stay.
With all of these expenses, the family was having a difficult time. MPFC awarded a grant to Caroline’s family to pay for their hotel stay during her NAPA Center therapy sessions. We are looking forward to helping Caroline more in the future and seeing her journey.
