We are overjoyed to announce that MPFC has been selected to receive a major grant from the Samueli Foundation’s Breakaway Fund. This funding represents a meaningful milestone that allows us to enhance our programs and make a deeper impact on children and families with limited resources.
About the Grant
The Breakaway Fund gives unrestricted grants in the $50,000–$100,000 range to nonprofits serving Orange County. This fund was created to help organizations move beyond operational barriers by offering flexible, easy-to-access capital: “unrestricted, easy-to-access capital that helps you and your team barrel past the usual obstacles.”
What This Means for MPFC — and for the Children We Serve
Thanks to a grant of $55,000, MPFC is now in a stronger position to serve more children, more effectively. Here’s how this support translates into real benefit for kids and families:
