Edwin is a 17-year-old boy who was hit in his spine by a stray bullet as an innocent bystander and is now paralyzed from the waist down. It has been a very tough transition for Edwin but he has been strong and is adjusting to his new life. His family reached out to MPFC to help fund two medical devices that will help Edwin with his upper body strength. We awarded Edwin a $2,000 grant for an E-trainer. We are excited to see the progress that will help make Edwin’s life easier and help him gain more independence.
