We are thrilled to announce that the Maryam Parman Foundation for Children is the recipient of a $10,000 grant from the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation! These funds will support hippotherapy sessions for several of the injured children we are currently helping. Hippotherapy is the use of horseback riding to achieve therapeutic goals. This type of therapy activates sensory stimulation for the rider and helps improve visual coordination, sensory input, tactile responses, improved attention, increased ability to express thoughts and needs, and improves understanding of visual cues. Due to the versatility of benefits from hippotherapy, we have several children who are receiving this type of therapy. This generous grant will help Nathan, Oliver, Koen, and Christian recover from their injuries!
“We are so excited to receive this grant from the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation! It means the world to our foundation and our kids. We couldn’t do what we do without support like theirs!” – Taylor Smith, Executive Director
“This generous grant is such a blessing to our organization. We are very thankful for Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation for helping us continue to change the lives of children” – Maryam Parman, Founder of MPFC
