Levi is a sweet 13-year-old boy who has cerebral palsy and epilepsy. Due to his condition, he cannot walk, talk, or eat on his own. He requires 24/7 care. He is currently in physical, occupational, and speech therapy. His mother Jennifer reached out to MPFC for help with purchasing a Rifton Walker and Trexo Robotics Gait Training System.
The Trexo Robotics Gait Training System is a home robotic system that helps children with disabilities walk. This robotic device moves the child’s legs through reciprocal movements when they can’t do it themselves due to their disability like cerebral palsy. The system allows a child to get a full body workout, and is an all-in-one device to get a child to work on their strength, endurance, alignment and stretching. It allows the child to workout at home and does not require travel to physical therapy appointments. This is a huge benefit for Jennifer because as Levi grows, it becomes more and more difficult to get him to his various appointments.
The Rifton Walker allows Levi to more easily get around. MPFC awarded Levi a $5,600 grant for this at home system. We cannot wait to see the progress he will make and the benefits it will bring him and his family.
Donate today to help children like Levi receive the medical devices they need.
