Diego is a sweet 15-year-old boy who suffered from a brain injury caused by an accident on the playground when he was just 3 years old. Due to his brain trauma, Diego is wheelchair bound, unable to speak, and is fed by a tube. As he has gotten older, it has become more difficult for Diego and his mother to get around without a wheelchair van. As he grows, so does the size of his wheelchair. Diego and his family desperately needed a wheelchair van and had qualified for our MPFIC Wheelchair Van Program and were patiently waiting on our wait list. With the help of the MPFIC 2nd Annual Charity Golf Tournament fundraiser, we were able to purchase a fully converted wheelchair van for Diego and his family!
